This match featured interesting tactics. Ducassou played up on Waltary's serve, releasing pressure on Monce while keeping down Waltary's number of aces. Monce had to do a lot of running after the service return. Early in the match Waltary and Guichandut also switched positions on Monce's serve after Guichandut had difficulties returning serve early. Waltary has some experience playing in the back, but he too had to do a lot of running after the serve was returned. Later G and W returned to their normal positions.
