This Cesta Punta Pro Tour Grand Slam features 4 Master Tournaments. Each one consists of 4 teams, which contest two Semi-finals and a Final. At the end of the 4 Masters, the top 4 Fronts and Backs will contest a SLAM Tournament, 2 Semi-finals and a Final to determine who are the Champions of Champions.
Tournament Points System (Points are allocated to the individual fronts and backs). The 4 top fronts and backs (#1-#1, 2-2, 3-3, 4-4) will meet in a SLAM Tournament at the end of August. Points are allocated on a match by match basis. Any ties in points will be broken by point differential. There are no bonus points allocated for winning an individual Master Tournament.

2-1 win = 180
1-2 loss = 90
0-2 loss = 30
Matches are played 2 sets to 15, with a Tie Breaker, if necessary, to 5. Servers are allowed 5 over serves (Pasa) with a second serve allowed. Any under serve is an automatic fault. Carom serves are allowed.

The Final of Each Slam, in the past, has also been streamed live and on demand by Canal + via Cesta Punta Pro Tour Youtube. For those matches, if they are available, I will set up Non-spoiler/Spoiler sections. For the Facebook videos, there will only be Spoiler information due to the fact that the videos are deficient in score information to the point that they are very difficult to watch if you don't have the outcome at your fingertips (unfortunately, the beautiful Biarritz scoreboard is directly behind and off the court from the single camera filming the match).

Notable:
In a paradoxical match that featured 2 points of over 40 balls in play (the first point of the match was a monster 58 ball over 4 minute point), 4 over 20, and 18 over 10, ARITZ ERKIAGA-NICOLAS ETCHETO never once trailed and were at equal scores only once in two sets as they won the Gant d'Or Championship over KEVIN ITHURRIA-IMANOL LOPEZ.
I have never seen such a dominant win with such incredibly competitive points. Erkiaga was player of the match, seemingly always scoring when his team needed a point. Both back court players were very solid, and Ithurria featured one spectacular save, flying into the protective netting and returning the shot in the same motion, as well as several very impressive winners. But he leaked a few too many errors in a match where his opponent played magnificently.

Sorozabal-Lopez win Master 4. 20 year old Johan Sorozabal, by far the youngest Group A player, participated in 2 of the 4 Gant d'Or Masters (#3 and #4). He finished 3-1 with one championship and one 2nd place. He also played in 2 Masters at St. Jean-de-Luz, but was unable to win there. He lost a Tie Breaker with Eric Irastorza to Kevin Ithurria--Nicolas Etcheto (15-12, 12-15, 5-4). He was +10 -8 in that match, 2nd in winners to Ithurria. He also lost a 2 set match with Txabi Inza to Jon Tambourindeguy--Imanol Lopez (15-9, 15-12), but scored 9 winners of his team's 12 points in the second set, and finished with +12 for the match, leading all scorers. And although he did not make either the Gant d'Or Final or the CPPT SLAM Tournament at St. Jean-de-Luz, he had a very impressive summer and was clearly the best young player in the competition.
